Was she shot by Tory Lanez? Did someone else do it? Is she covering for her ex-best friend? Unfortunately, when thinking of Meg The Stallion’s bullet wound these are the questions that are swirling. Though the saga has since existed since July 2020, there are evidently two sides to the situation, and the truth holds very little value at this point. The facts remain as:
- The Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez, was arrested for felony possession of a weapon.
- Days later, Megan revealed not only was she shot in both feet when their black SUV was pulled over, but she also identified Lanez as the triggerman.
But how can there be so much mystery in between? Here’s what we do know…
Meg Clears The Air
One month after the shoot, Megan admitted in an Instagram video that she didn’t tell cops what happened, because she thought LAPD was “aggressive” — while recognizing she should have been upfront immediately.
Later, Megan claims the shooter was Tory in an op-ed published in The New York Times: “I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man,” Megan wrote. “After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him. We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place.”
Following the publication of her op-ed, an LA judge ordered Lanez to stay 100 yards away from Megan and not contact her. He was also required to surrender any guns he owns, according to TMZ.
Testifying Against Tory Lanez
LAPD detective Ryan Stogner testified in court on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, confirming details from Megan’s account of the event to the police. Per TMZ, the detective was told that Lanez shouted “Dance, bitch, dance” as he fired the gunshots at Megan’s feet, injuring her so that she “fell to the ground and then crawled” to safety.
Next, Tory tries to cover his tracks and here is possibly where the lying on his account begins, Megan told the detective that a drunk Lanez tried to bribe her “to keep her mouth shut because he was on probation.” Stogner also testified that she lied about the shooting at first, saying she stepped on glass, because she was afraid of police violently escalating the situation if they were called on Lanez, a Black man with a gun in his car.

The Mystery Women In The Car
During the hearing, the judge played a phone call from Lanez in jail to the woman who was there during the incident, apologizing for something he did while drunk. It is speculated the woman, was Kelsey Nicole, one of Meg’s best friends and Lanez says he was hooking up with them both, which caused the situation.
According to a tweet made by Lanez, he was involved with the two best friends, which sparked the conflict that occurred on the night Megan was shot.
“Good d*ck had me f*cking 2 best friends…and I got caught. That’s what I apologized 4…it’s sick how you spun it though,” Tory tweeted.
Then, Megan revealed old text messages from Tory, where he vaguely apologized for how things went down on the night of the incident. Based on Megan’s caption on the post, she suggested Tory was apologizing for shooting her.
The saga hopefully will come to an end as the hearing will resume in April.
